Subject says all. Two a month Orkneys and May war will be very sweet.

"Men are haunted by the vastness of eternity and so we ask ourselves… Will our actions echo across the centuries? Will strangers hear our names, long after we are gone and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved?" -From the movie "Troy"

"Orkneys never ask how many, only where they are!"

Hey Kato thank you for the book and the help. And if anyone needs any help making period accurate chairs, or any help with a-frame tents.

Only the Strong survive, when the dust clears.

I think what ever type of pavillion you want is cool! A frames are viking, there are many styles. Being as you will be paying for your tent, you should do some research and figure out which one suits you! On another addition I would like you guys to start thinking of your heraldry(devices)! I am glad we have some new fire, and it would be cool to increase the cool factor of the unit!!!!!

My first draft of what I had in mind for my own heraldry.

If anyone needs help, let me know. I don't have any great knowledge of heraldry but I can try to help put ideas into an image for someone.

For more heraldry info, check Help Choosing an SCA Device

As for tents...a good source for ideas of different types is Tentsmiths.com
